rick henry aka "animal" has just passed away.

on july 26, 2011, rick suddenly fell ill (for no apparent reason at the time) and had to go to hospital.

it has been some time since my last post on here and its been hard for me to post much since i'm still in and my fellow dubbies are always poking there heads in my business trying to find something wrong to get me into trouble, but i do enjoy lurking on here from time to time... and i do plan to post here much more in the near future!.

actually, being on this site and reading all of your threads (mostly on my phone) has become my favourite thing to do at meetings and on field service and pretty much anything wtbts related!.

you all have been such a great help and comfort to me when i feel down, seriously even the trolls that come around here every now and then leave me with a sense of tranquility, for it reminds me of how i used to be just like them at one point, it gets me all "happified" to know that i have now awakened and see the "truth" about the truth and feel quite at peace with myself at times.. as some of you that have read my first post may know... i've been working on a really, really long fade, and so far its been going steady to say the least.

hi, this is my first post on this forum although i have been reading many posts on here.

i feel safe enough to ask your advice and become involved now......from what i have learned about this forum it is occupied by sensible people who have left the watchtower influences for one reason or another.

i am, for want of a better word, a none believer.

If she starts taking the little one to meeting/gatherings on a regular basis, as well as reading the literature like some sweet bedtime story...the ultimate goal will be baptism, and all her JW friends will be constantly reminding her of this.

This would be a good time to gently remind your wife that GODS SON Jesus wasnt baptised til his 30th year. x

I dont really know what to say regarding your little one playing with other JW kids, but its up to you to make sure he/she has a great time with other friends at this point. They may even be whispering to him/her regarding saying prayers at school, not colouring in certain pictures, having to sit alone so as not to be involved in the Xmas concert/carols/anything to do with any flag etc......

It makes me sick that my son had to sit alone in a deserted classroom, because they told me he wasnt allowed to colour in a pumpkin.....yet they protect peadophiles (check out the 2 witness rule), flip flop on docturines, their whole ideology came from a man obsessed with Egyptology, its rotten from the feet up....x

Im not intellectual, Im just an ex-nurse, now housewife....I stuggle to express myself due to panic and anxiety, forgive me. But one thing I do know, Im on your side. Any problems with the little one, please feel free to PM me.

Wishing you all the best. Im so glad your 18 year old agrees with you about her behaviour, thats a big plus. Watch out for the little one though. They encouraged me to bring my boy (then aged 6) to meetings, memorials, very occasional meets in the park....he was skipping along making little JW friends, all the while being told his school friends were evil.......this really messed him up metally as you can imagine. Telling him that his daddy wouldnt be with us living forever in Paradise Earth was the most heartbreaking day of my life, I calmly explained this too him while he was wracked with sobbs and shaking all over.......Im so grateful we are away from the cult.

Christmas was a nightmare. I learned after I escaped (6 years study, 2 monthes away from baptism)...that most JWs in my cong gave their kids Christmas presents on BOXING DAY...and when I questioned this I was simply told "So they dont miss out!".........Miss out? On a Pagan festival? Wow, double standards.

Love your wife and kids. Show them every day.

It was one single peice of information that halted my study. It was something I read on here, and it stopped me in my tracks. The WTBTS joined the UN (the harlot, wild beast, unclean thing as the JW call it) as a NGO.......so while they preach to the cong about this disgusting thing, they were comitting "spiritual adultery" by getting into bed with the UN all the while. I carried on reading this forum, and had stopped studying within 2 weeks. Only SHE will make that decision to leave, but you can help her along gently. Youve had such good advice, I simply wanted to share a little bit of my story with you to perhaps show you that escape is possible, dont ever give up.

i think i might return to the WTS

man im so drained right now and tired i cant say a whole lot.. but you know, i was thinking about going back to them and just to see a bit more about it all.. i dont know to be very honest with you if its thr right thing to do or not on a personal level.. .

i guess i need to mull things over.. .

any suggestions from previous jw's would be awesome for me.

Im certainly not going to tell you what to do, however youd better get used to it if you go back to them. They are all about CONTROL. If you are searching because you feel you need spirituality in your life, why not give other churches/groups a try?

In my experience, going back is detrimental and will leave you more confused than ever.

I cant remember who posted this quote, nor who origonally wrote it, however, its something I think about a lot.........

Question I Asked a JW at My Door Today

I wonder why the "elder" was there then, if he didnt have much input? Where I live, its sisters who go around in twos, and only married couples that go out in FS together.

I especially like the answer you gave regarding other planets. Wish I was as quick on my feet.....

What Is It That Really Troubles the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses?

well i think what worries them the most is that more and more witnesses are becoming free thinkers and that is troubling them, it worries them that thinking freely will cause them to seek answers elsewhere and that is the last thing the gb wants.

they have pulled the reins so tight now how much tighter can they pull before many witnesss crack under their yokes.

what is your thoughts on this matter.. .

I think the biggest problem at the moment is the fact that numbers of partakers of the memorial emblems is going up not down

Also labelling new ones who do partake as posibbly being mentally incapacitated must of done some damage. I hope so.

bit of background info..... we have a neighbour who is a complete psychopath, she has tried to get us evicted, turned neighbours against us, bad mouthed us to our visitors.. last year our dog who is a jack/staff and is very healthy started to go downhill.... lethergy, depression, vomiting bile, coughing.

we took her to the vets who ran loads of tests on organ failure, cancer etc and they all came back clear.

he repeatedly asked us if she could have eaten anything.

Get that camera up and get some evidence.....I wonder how this will pan out, what if you catch her doing other things...oh dear....

Ps Watersprout, after I fed the ex with the pedigree chum pie, he said it was the best hed ever tasted, and he was training to be a CHEF! Hahaha...go figure!
